Roger Goodman

While studying medicine in Melbourne I was drawn to the natural healing modalities and lectured part-time at the Southern School of Naturopathy. I went on to major in Genetics and Biochemistry and then joined the pharmaceutical industry specialising in transferable drug resistance.

After a few years a career change called and I joined IBM to become a successful marketing manager, and then established my own consulting business, developing and implementing business solutions for some of Australia's large companies.

I returned to the land of my birth, New Zealand, in 1994 to marry Hilary Carlile, my soul-mate.

I continued my career in project management working throughout Australia, Asia and the Middle East where I encountered many different cultures, religions philosophies and healing modalities.

Five years ago I suffered intractable back pain. My faithful Chiropractor was of no avail the pain would not budge.

Then my first encounter with BodyTalk, when a friend told me she had had a frozen shoulder released after 30 years of agony. I thought “body torque”, a new form of manipulation, so imagine my surprise to find a non-invasive, holistic, integrative modality.

My first BodyTalk session was amazing – no bump or grind, and a few nights later my spine relaxed and released the tension on its own and I was pain free.

I was so impressed I enrolled almost immediately in BodyTalk modules 1&2 and then went on to modules 4&7. Shortly after that I had the privilege of working with Dr Veltheim on his only New Zealand Right Brain practical class – to sit at the feet of the master practitioner and founder!!

I continued my enquiry into the innate wisdom of the body-mind with MindScape and BodyTalk modules 3, 6, and 9.

As a Certified BodyTalk Practitioner, I find my varied background a tremendous asset in relating to clients. My medical background, analytical and business skills lend a different sense to my sessions.
